Two Saint-Eustache businesses are focusing on innovation to ensure growth and create quality jobs
STE-EUSTACHE, August 10, 2017- Linda Lapointe, Member of Parliament for Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, announced a $ 291,500 grant from the Government of Canada for two Ste-Eustache companies: HRT Industries Inc. and Traffic Innovation Inc., on behalf of the Honorable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for Economic Development Canada.
A federal grant of $ 175,000 will allow HRT Industries inc. to acquire various state-of-the-art equipment, four CNC machining centers. The company will thus be able to integrate itself into the cell of manufacturing 3D digital models of the FusiA Group, its buyer and owner. The project will contribute to the development of Québec’s leading expertise in 3D manufacturing, a manufacturing process that is emerging on a global scale, and promising future prospects, particularly within the aeronautics industry. In fact, it will enable HRT Industries to continue its shift towards diversifying into more complex and niche products and differentiating itself from its competitors.
On its side, Trafic Innovation inc. Received $ 116,500 in financial assistance. The company will be able to implement a marketing strategy for its innovative products in Latin America, including its flagship DEFLEX delineator, made with a polymer blend that absorbs repeated impacts and returns to its original shape. This export approach is part of the fast-growing niche of “smart city”. Traffic Innovation’s various products help to make traffic safer, smoother and more user-friendly, which also has an impact on the amount of greenhouse gas emissions produced by vehicles.
“HRT Industries and Traffic Innovation have been able to develop innovative processes and products for their customers by leveraging the expertise of their teams and being open to innovation. Combining technology with seasoned teams enables Quebec companies to grow and conquer new markets. “Says MP Lapointe.
These funds, in the form of repayable contributions, are made under CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program, within the broader framework of the Government of Canada’s Skills and Innovation Plan.
“As part of the Skills and Innovation Plan, our government will invest over several years to make Canada a global center of innovation. This will stimulate innovation and create even more high-paying jobs and promote the growth of the middle class. “-Hon. Navdeep Bains, Minister Responsible for CED
